Today at exactly 11:39 am I received an email.  Delivered to me digitally was the confirmation that I have revived a Silver Key in the Drawing and Illustration section of the 2017 New York/ Pennsylvania Scholastic Art Awards Program.  This information has pushed me toward a new and ambitious goal I have set for myself, creating an art business.  My hope is to create a website were customers can order commissioned or buy pre-created pieces of art work.  Under the name Enduring Expression Art my dream is to develop this company so that before my senior year I may fund some of my college expenses.  Realizing that Juniors in high school are not highly qualified, I have come to the conclusion that art competitions such as Scholastic's is a way of gaining credibility in the eyes of my customers.

With all this mind I have many decisions to make in regards to pricing, sizes, payment, delivery, advertisement, and much more. By next week my short term goal is to enter a competition and come up with a logo for my business.

Below is the silver key awarded art piece.
Medium: white and black pencil on green paper.
