Progress finally some progress!

Most of my art is matted and ready to sell.  I found most of my art from last year. I just have what is in my actual sketchbooks to touch up and mat. One in specific I will have to Fix is my self portrait from late year. it was all graphite and is super smudged. I still have the pencil set I used and the reference photo so it should not be that hard.

I also got a new art box! i am super excited for it. It needs some TLC but I am ecstatic to of found it for $5 at a thrift store.  I just need to take out the glue, put a new lining in, and work on a way to get the blue paint off the finish.

My first commissioned piece was a violet.  she did not specify what materials or what it would look like.  I started and finished it yesterday.  she loves it I just need to mat it.  Because of the green tinted background I think a white border would look nice.

A quick little update.  I just found out I cant accept payment on my website without paying $16.17 a month.  considering I don't have a job that probably wont workout until the summer when I am lifeguarding or my parents help me out till then.

On Saturday, two days ago.  I visited the Black Cat Gallery, a local art store located on 190 Front Street, Owego, NY 13827.  Shout out to them. while I was there I picked up an application to put my work on display and/or work there.  looking around though my pieces my not fit into the general feel of the store.  It has more of a realism feel.  My works are more expressionistic.  The few realistic pieces I have will probably not fill the application quota of 5-6.

One extra paper I picked up was about the Athens 18th Annual Artsfest on may 6 & 7th. I am obviously to late to enter for a booths but i can go and get information for next year.
